WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT

Coconut oil is a staple in my kitchen and bathroom.

As a saturated fat, it’s ideal for cooking and baking because it doesn’t get damaged at high temperatures. Plus, it’s amazing for brain health, energy and overall immune health, thanks to its medium-chain fats and antimicrobial properties.

While it can be used a million different ways as a beauty product, my absolute favourite two uses are to remove makeup (why spend on fancy products?) and as a hair mask to keep my hair shiny, strong and dandruff-free.

HOW I USE IT

• Base oil for medium-high heat cooking
• Baking staple and substitute for other fats such as canola oil, vegetable oil
• Greasing baking pans
• Adding to hot drinks and elixirs e.g. turmeric milk latte
• Overnight hair mask
• Make-up remover
• Body moisturizer
• Staple ingredient in homemade beauty products

P.S. If you’re vegan, it’s a great substitute for butter in baking
