Ask Alina: What Are Some Ways To Eat Eggs Without Bread?

Q: I have noticed that I feel much better when I don’t eat bread (I get less hungry). But I don’t want to give up eating eggs in the morning. What are some ways to eat eggs without having bread on the side?

A: Ah yes, this is tricky for a lot of people! First of all, I would say try out healthier bread options (e.g. fresh sourdough, rye) or homemade bread alternatives that are grain or gluten-free (like this homemade almond bread) to see if you feel better eating one of those options. It’s not necessary to give up the comforting feeling of eating eggs with toast if you don’t have to! 🙂

That being said, there are definitely lots of ways to eat eggs without toast. Below are some of my favourites:

I personally find a quinoa salad to be the most satisfying and simplest option. You can make it beforehand in a big batch, use it for other meals, and it still gives that filling, carby satisfaction that bread provides.
